KQ:- To what extent do language and racial barriers prevent a country’s communication and trade.
Countries all around the world are known for their specific reasons. Nearly every country has a designated title related to things like food, objects. They do this because they are known for that specific substance. For example, Kerala is known as the land of spice. This is because Kerala specialize in spices and other countries want it so much that they decide to get it shipped out. This is known as trading. This is transferring different materials such as objects, food items, and many other relics to different places.
Generally people use the sea to trade. They have mapped out certain trade routes, which are used very often. Sometimes closer trades are made by road. During these little trips, we have people that steal the materials, or even sometimes jeopardize the transport and kill the people who are transporting the goods. Now the question I want to ask. Is this right? Why do we feel the need to do these things? Honestly the fact that this happens very often and we really can’t do anything to stop it is unavoidable, but I just wanted to find out why this happens. We can try to at least lessen the prospects of this happening in many places.
Many of these types of incidents tend to occur due to political reasons. It is very rarely a personal reason for the cause of this problem. These political problems arise from different troubles of the society, however the main things that affect a countries trade and communication is language and racial barriers. Race is a very delicate topic to handle. People are very easily offended by it and it is horrible to talk to anyone about their race.
People who stand in a higher class, generally the whites, tend to look down on the black people with disgust. They want nothing to do with them, which is a horrible thing to do. Every person must be inclusive to other people around them, no matter about their race or gender. However that is not happening in many places. Generally low class people try to trade to increase their income. Sometimes the trader is kept anonymous. However if the trader is found and the receiving person is outraged by the fact that he is paying a lower class person, they stop the trade halfway. It’s hurtful to watch hard work go to waste like that, and sometimes innocent lives taken.
Another thing that stops trade is not a violent thing; however it is something that we should fix. Language barriers are very common and that makes it hard to communicate with other people. One of the main reasons is the alarming increase of the illiteracy rate. Many people from lower classes don’t get a proper education at all. Some places don’t even have somewhere to sit and learn. No one wants to invest a sum to help these people have an education. The simplest thing that can help in communication is language. It is again just another simple tool that we can utilize to help ourselves grow, more socially and economically.
Many communities don’t even know English which is a fundamental language in communication. In turn as the language English becomes dominant, other languages and mother tongues are going extinct! We must help spread the joy of learning around the world and bring down these communication barriers! This will also help expand land for trading, maybe discover new easier routes, and also help our social and economical skills.
